My jb Video Metadata 3 plugin lets Lightroom save metadata into videos and read it from them – an amazing omission by Adobe.

It now also lets you add metadata to videos which are exported from Lightroom, and it looks very different:

• Instead of the previous “ignore these fields” concept, it’s now a conventional “choose these fields” approach
• More IPTC fields are available
• Fields from the Video metadata panel are available for saving
• Some QuickTime fields are available on an experimental or “at your own risk” basis
• Reading/Writing XMP sidecars is now possible, mainly for those who want to exchange metadata with Lightroom Desktop (Cloudy)
• The log files are now more readable as well as extensive
